Back in April the New York Jets were rumored to be interested in signing wide receiver Randy Moss for the upcoming season. Those rumors were then dismissed and life went on.
Now that it’s clear that Moss will definitely not be back with the Tennessee Titans, at least one person believes the Jets are still in play for Moss’ services in 2011.
Sports Illustrated’s Peter King still believes there’s a shot that the Jets will end up with Moss on their roster for the 2011 season.
I could see Jets head coach Rex Ryan signing Moss since it would draw more attention to his team, which he obviously loves doing. But if they are able to re-sign both Santonio Holmes or Braylon Edwards, it wouldn’t make sense to bring in a guy like Moss.
