Peter King says Jadeveon Clowney wasn’t double teamed on every snap even though he never watched film on him

This is typical Peter King.

King is outraged that people are saying Jadeveon Clowney didn’t have a standout season in 2013 because he was double-teamed on every play.

King then admitted he’s never watched film on Clowney.

King might be right that Clowney wasn’t double teamed on every play.  But he could be wrong.  In college football where there aren’t a multitude of great players on the field at the same time from each team,  an opposing team could probably afford to double Clowney on every play.  He was South Carolina’s best player. I’m sure the goal of opposing offenses was to take him out of the game.

Even if Clowney wasn’t doubled on every play,  he was probably doubled 90 percent of the time.

Don’t get me wrong,  I don’t have a problem with King says he doesn’t believe Clowney was double teamed all the time.  But to say it’s “BS” without watching film is silly.
